On Sunday, March 29th, Pastor Desi Allen introduced Pastor Keith Boggus and family of Iglesia Camino Del Rey to the congregation of Safe House of Worship. On April 1st, Pastor Boggus and his congregation will begin using Safe House of Worship facilities for their services. Iglesia Camino Del Rey, founded by Pastor Boggus, has been in existence for 5 years and is a Spanish, speaking church. They have met in two previous locations, one in Vandalia for 3 years and the other in Riverside for a little over a year. This is a familiar story for Safe House of Worship, having experienced much the same thing until given a building back in July.
Pastor Keith Boggus commented, “My family and I count it a great honor to be able to work with the Latino Community of Dayton and we are thankful to Safe House of Worship for allowing us the opportunity to use their facilities.” Their service times are Sunday afternoons at 2:30 and Wednesday evenings at 7 PM.
Pastor Boggus stated,” Pastor Allen was more receptive to the idea of a hispanic church meeting at their location than most”. Pastor Desi Allen also commented, “This is another fulfillment of a long awaited desire for us to reach out beyond ourselves to help others fulfill their call in God.” Pastor Allen also has commented that, ”There may be others that we can help in much the same way.”
